The Rowlands Castle U3 hold Monthly Meetings in the Parish Hall, Links Lane at 2pm on the 3rd Monday of each month, except August and December. There is a different Talk each month on an amazing range of subjects, with a chance to meet and chat afterwards over tea and biscuits. Visitors are welcome for a £3 entrance fee.
In addition we now have over 30 interest groups for members which meet at different times in different venues. Currently there are vacancies in wine tasting, play reading and Art Appreciation.
The Art Appreciation group meet at 2pm on the first Tuesday of each month in members’ homes. Usually they choose a theme for the meeting and each member researches a piece of art that interests them on that theme and briefly presents it to the group. They are a very informal group, no great knowledge of art is required. They learn from each other as they go along and are often surprised by the variety of genres of art that come up, encouraging far and wide discussions. Visits and special presentations by members are arranged as they choose.
