Wilding at end of Recreation Ground

1 minute
Several of us involved with wilding the end corner of the recreation ground spent a rather damp morning today planting a selection of bare root shrubs and trees. Many thanks to the Rowlands Castle Association for donating the money for these. We hope you will walk up there in the summer and enjoy the wild flowers buzzing with bees and see all the shrubs and trees. Although it’s been raining a lot, the soil this morning wasn’t saturated, just moist. It’s a very dry part of the recreation ground and that’s our biggest problem : – getting enough water to newly planted shrubs and trees throughout dry spells in spring and summer. If you would like to be part of a rota watering, please let us know ( there is a water source near the plants). fcharlesworth777@gmail.com Best wishes The Recreation Ground Wilding Group _______________________________________________ Grapevine mailing list: info@rowlandscastle.com
