Dear Residents,
As we head into a new week, I would like to provide you all with a brief update on local developments and my upcoming schedule.
Election Congratulations
Firstly, a huge congratulations to Ian Young, who was recently elected as the County Councillor for the Catherington division. I am very much looking forward to working alongside Ian to serve our community. We will be back with our regular monthly surgeries soon—please keep an eye out for further information regarding dates and locations.
I would also like to extend my congratulations to Ian Oliver, who has been elected as a Parish Councillor. I wish both men the very best of luck as they settle into their new roles and begin their work for our residents.
Council Business & Reorganisation
It is a busy week at East Hampshire District Council. On Wednesday, 13th May, I will be attending a briefing regarding the ongoing proposals for Local Government Reorganisation. This is a significant topic that will shape how services are delivered across Hampshire in the future, and it is vital that our local interests are represented.
I will then be attending Full Council on Thursday, 14th May. No doubt I will have plenty to say following Wednesday’s briefing, and I look forward to debating the issues that matter most to our ward.
As always, I will keep residents updated as more information becomes available.
Take care and speak soon,
Cllr Charlene Maines
District Councillor for Rowlands Castle Ward
East Hampshire District Council
