Tue 31st March 6pm: Walking Football Welcome Event

1 minute
A reminder that this free event kicking off the 2026 season of walking football in the village will be held in the Recreation Ground Pavilion starting at 6pm on Tuesday 31st March.
Over coffee and biscuits, come to find out about this low intensity social activity and its wellbeing benefits.
There will be an option to take part in a free ‘taster’ session on the pitch at 6.30 led by a Hampshire FA coach, if you would like to give it a go, or just watch the session if you prefer.
The activity is designed for men over 50 and women over 40, with no upper age limit. All abilities are welcome and the emphasis will be on friendly enjoyment of the beautiful game without the stress of running, serious tackling or heading the ball.
There may be some rain in the afternoon and so if you would like to have a go at the sport please bring suitable footwear to avoid slipping on wet grass.
There will be weekly sessions in the recreation ground on the following Tuesdays at 6.30pm and these can be booked on hampshire-fa.com/RCWF or email julian_entwistle@hotmail.com or geoffjacobs9844@gmail.com. There is currently no charge.
We hope to see you there!
