PeCAN (Petersfield Climate Action) are operating their Fruit Trees for Gardens scheme again this winter, and the website for ordering trees is now active and will remain open until 31 December. petersfieldcan.org/projects/nature-recovery/trees <petersfieldcan.org/projects/nature-recovery/trees> The Gardening Club will be working with Pecan to supply the trees to Rowlands Castle residents on 17 January- collection from the top of Redhill Road (near St. John’s car park) between 10-30 and 12-00. The price has risen this year to £21-50 to include stakes and ties, but this is still a great deal (similar trees would cost £30 to £60 in a nursery). Choose from apple, greengage, pear, plum, cherry, damson, and cobnut. Get your order in early to secure your preferred species!
