Dear Quiz Attendees and Grapevine Readers
The village hall was packed with Quizzers last Saturday for the RCA Quiz, and everyone said they had an amazing time.
Questions ranged from Darn Difficult to Easy Peasey. The Bowling and Questions were a big hit as we pulled back the curtains and screen on the stage so that everyone could enjoy the fun. Tossing a coin for the Heads and Tails game left one winner standing where everyone donated £1 coins and 50p pieces.
The First Responders gave an interesting account of their work being the first to arrive at emergency calls and gave a demonstration of the amazing equipment to assist them everyday that has been purchased by fundraising events like the RCA Quiz. They also helped in one of the Quiz Teams.
Fish and Chips arrived bang on time and were piping hot. Thanks to Deep Blue Fish and Chips from Bedhampton.
The display of Raffle Prizes was spectacular and we would like to thank the following donors without whom the evening wouldn’t have been able to increase the amount of donations raised: –
R.C Londis Store, RC Hardware Store, Bumblebee Café,, RC Golf Club, Goodwood, RC Surgery, Physio-logical, RC Pharmacy, Stansted Farm Shop, The Castle Inn, Halls Garage, The Pavilion Stansted Park, The Barber on the Green, Colour Wheel Art Classes, My Nesessity shop, Henry Adams Estate Agents, LK Family Law, The Fountain, Henry Adams Estate Agents, 7 Village Residents and The Rowlands Castle Association.
We have to say a huge thank you to the Quiz Masters, *Kerry and Ian* who kept us all on our toes, every minute of the evening.
The Winning Team – ‘The Vikings’, runners up – ‘Simple Minds’, even the last team were pleased with their prizes.
Thank you to everyone who came along for making it such a great night. The fundraising monies raised from The Entrance Tickets, Raffle, Heads and Tails game, Playing the Joker bribes and donations on the night is £850. The RCA will add £150 to this making £1000
COMING UP – Please look out for the next event run by the Rowlands Castle Association, The Fireworks Display on 4th November.
We urgently need volunteers to help at the fireworks and also join the RCA committee. It would be nice to get a few younger people involved as were not getting any younger and some fresh ideas would be welcome. Please contact *secretary@rowlandscastle.com <secretary@rowlandscastle.com>* as soon as you possibly can. There are a variety of roles to fill from: – Editor for the magazine, Grapevine moderators, Website help, Facebook moderators, to just helpful advice or just volunteer for one event.
