This being Holy Week… you are warmly invited to special events both in the Parish Church and a little further afield.
This* Thursday March 28th at 7 pm* :- An informal *Maundy Thursday service* in St John’s
*Good Friday March 29th :-* *Service of Reflections at 3 pm* also in the church.
ALSO this weekend, a number of folk from ROWLANDS CASTLE will be joining others from across the Havant/Emsworth area to present the very first HAVANT PASSION PLAY actually at EASTER! Previous performances have been held in the summer, and an offshoot one year at Christmas in Staunton Park Farm Trail.
Performances are in WEST STREET outside St Faith’s Church *SATURDAY 30th at 11am, 12.30 and 2pm.* Processing with a donkey along West Street will lead up to the commencement. No charge, but feel free to bring a fold up chair. The play should last about 30 minutes.
One final performance is to be held on Easter Sunday March 31st at 3.30pm. All in West Street Havant outside St Faith’s Church.
Thank you to the Rowlands Castle Parish Council for once again giving us permission to erect a Cross on the Green over Easter, the most significant event in the church calendar. A reminder that God loves us so much, His Son came to die in our place, to save us from our sins. Happy Easter!
NB We are still awaiting permission from EHDC to deal with the huge aged pine by the church centre/carpark. The pine is subject to a TPO but has been dropping branches. PLEASE CONTINUE TO STAY CLEAR OF IT whether walking of parking.
