Just a quick update on the Rowlands Castle History & Heritage Pop-up Museum over the last weekend.
A big thank you to all who came to see our new History Boards, covering the importance of the Village’s development after the railway station was built in 1859, some local artifacts, a selection of Ted Redsulls archive pictures, in selected albums.
The Model Railway, of course, a talk by Peter Goss who was the builder of the model, was informative & witty.
The younger visitors spent their time in filling in a search Quiz for items on the Model or colouring in Rail and Castle related pictures, or both.
We had a great response, over 200 people attending over the two days, from as far afield as Cornwall and Northumberland plus lots locally of course.
The Heritage Week will be on again next year, we will start planning for that very soon, more interesting History Boards, Artifacts, and a selection from Ted’s Archive for all ages to enjoy and participate in.
