Further to D Cllr Maines grapevine issued on Tuesday afternoon the Parish Council has been developing its understanding on the current situation wrt options for the future Local Government Re-organisation (LGR), which is an important change to Local Government that we all need to take note of and comment on if individual residents so desire. Following a briefing given yesterday morning by the Leader of HCC to all Parish Cllrs the Parish Council has placed a short background document on its website that lays out what is happening and what will be discussed at next Monday’s mtg of the PC. Link to the document is: Essentially there are 2 consultations to take note of, one running now at ourplaceourfuture.commonplace.is/ with 3 Options put forward by one large group of the regions councils and the second consultation to start next week on the 4 options to be put forward by HCC & EHDC. The website for this consultation will be promulgated once known. The Parish Council will discuss the LGR options on Monday 21st and make decisions on its responses to the 2 consultations. Residents are encouraged to read the short document on our website www.rowlandscastlepc.org.uk/local-government-re-organisation/ and provide their own responses to both consultations to inform the final Hampshire & IoW Councils’ decision for submission to Government
