Dear readers,
Many of you may be aware that the A3 will be closed southbound between Petersfield and Horndean from 9pm tomorrow evening until 6am on Monday morning. A 35-mile diversion will be in place to the west via the A32, but it is clear that many road users will divert through surrounding towns and villages, including Rowlands Castle. Whilst there is little that can be done to avoid the inevitable gridlock, it would be helpful if you could avoid parking in the bays along the Deerleap Verge side of the Green to help the flow of traffic along this stretch of road, and negate the risk of your vehicles being damaged by passing traffic. The Recreation Ground car park is available as an alternative parking area for this period.
