1st Rowlands Castle Scout Group are looking to recruit to a number of roles within our Beaver and Cub Sections, all of which encourage the development of our young people through our wide and varied programme. If you would like to volunteer and get involved within a community youth group, and you are free on Monday evenings please do consider the following. We would love to welcome you to our team!
Occasional helpers – The only requirement needed for this is for a DBS check to be completed. The sections get up to all sorts of interesting and exciting activities, ranging from arts and crafts, scouting topics to games. The Leaders will provide guidance on the planned meetings and will let you know how you can help during them.
Section Assistant – For this role you will need to complete a DBS check and undertake some basic getting started training comprising of 5 online modules within 3 months. Most importantly you will also need plentiful levels of enthusiasm, encouragement and be willing to get involved with a range of activities.
Assistant Leaders – For this roll you will need to complete a DBS check, undertake some basic getting started training comprising of 5 online modules within 3 months and following up with further training to be completed over a period of time. You will need a zest for all things scouting and be passionate about having a positive influence of our young people.
Our section meetings are: Beavers (age 6 to 8) is from 5:45pm to 6:45pm and Cubs (age 8 to 10.5) is from 7pm to 8:30pm.
