Remembrance Sunday
On the 11th day of the 11th Month, the Union Flag is lowered at 11 am on the Village Green for 2 minutes silence to honour those who fought for our freedom.

Rowlands Castle Police Beat Surgery
Routine police visits to the village are now made through a programme of School and Street Engagements, each lasting 90 minutes to gives schools and residents an opportunity to meet the Beat Teams. Tables showing the dates, times and locations of these engagements are displayed on the Parish Council Community noticeboards in Rowlands Castle and Finchdean.

999 Urgent Attention (i.e. Crimes in Progress)
0845 045 45 45 Not so urgent (i.e.offenders left the scene)
0800 555 111 Crime Stoppers, anonymous reporting
101 Vandalism and others for police attention later

Community Speedwatch
is a scheme sponsored by the police which involves members of the public monitoring traffic in the village with speed measuring devices (not speed guns). Volunteers are needed for roadside monitoring and administration or coordination. Anyone interested should email southofbutser.snt@hampshire.pnn.police.uk or call 101 leaving a message for the South of Butser beat team, quoting interest in Speedwatch.

Streetwatch
Street Watch is run by local residents promoting good citizenship and supporting a stronger community. The scheme is fully supported by Hampshire Police. Please consider giving 2 hours per month to support your local community.
