Dear Editor

We have lived in Rowlands Castle for over 20 years. In this time the traffic in Redhill Rd has steadily built up. Any further development in this area will only worsen this situation in what is a dangerous road used by many school children.  Have the traffic surveys been carried out at peak times?

The other point I consider needs more thought is the additional water generated which will flow into the houses in Redhill Road and adjacent roads. These gardens are already subject to much surface water when it rains.

Yours sincerely

Alan and Joyce Burrage

Dear Editor

I am writing to tell your readers that the Rowlands Castle  “In touch” leaflet was wrong to say that I intend to stand down as County Councillor in the forthcoming June 2009 election. The good news for the many people who expressed their disappointment after reading this story is that it is a piece of fiction. The bad news is that the “In touch” editor declines to retract her statement. I am therefore hoping that you will set the record straight by publishing this letter.

Yours sincerely
