ROWLANDS CASTLE W.I.

Since the beginning of the year we have had 3 interesting speakers including Mr Gordon Rushmer, a talented artist, who, as a war artist, brought to us his experiences firsthand of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.  He showed us many large watercolour sketches and made us realise how brave our boys are in the jobs they do.

We had a wonderful lunch at Southdowns College in January and ran a very successful jumble sale in February. In April we will have an outing to Salisbury to visit Edward Heath’s house. In August there’s an outing to Leeds Castle in Kent.

The WI always welcomes new members – meetings are held on the first Monday of the month, 7.30pm at the Parish Hall.
