Mayday 'Picnic on the Green'
Held on the Village Green each year on the May Bank Holiday Monday (May
7th in 2012) starting at 12 noon. Fun for all, usually including musical
entertainment and childrens' activities. Collection in aid of the
Rowan's Hospice. Contact Barbara Openshaw (9241 2400).
Village Fair
The biggest event in the village calendar, the annual Summer Fair held
on the Green on the first Saturday in July, which is 2nd July in 2011.

Once again, the Model Railway will be on display at
the Village Fair.

Peter Goss, the modeller, will be presenting a talk in
the Chapel Meeting Room on the evening of Friday 1st July at 7.30pm, on the model
and also the railway itself. There will be a charge of £5 for
refreshments together with a copy of a booklet entitled "What the Model
Railway Taught us about the Village", by Peter Goss and Paul Marshman.
The booklet will also be available at the Fair.
